Language
The conference language is English, and all submissions must be written in English.
Template
The required template is the ACM Primary Article Template (can be found here: acmtog) in a 2-column-layout. An overleaf template is also available.
Specific requirements
Full Research Papers & Short Papers
We solicit:
– Full research papers: Ideally, submissions should not exceed 12 pages of content with an additional 2 pages for references. While a maximum of 18 pages of content is permitted, as originally stated, we strongly advise authors to avoid utilizing the full page allowance unless absolutely essential for the comprehensiveness and integrity of the research.
– Short papers: Maximum of 6 pages of content plus one additional page for references
Please ensure the first version of your paper submitted for review does not include author names or affiliations, as our review process adheres to a double-blind protocol to maintain fairness and impartiality.

Important: Papers will only be included in the proceedings if at least one author has registered for the conference.Please note that each registered author can represent only one paper. Therefore, if one person has authored two papers, a separate author registration is required for the second paper.
Presentations
Long Paper: Each participant will have 15 minutes for their presentation, followed by 5 minutes of discussion. There are no formatting requirements or templates for the presentation slides. Please send your presentation to info@energy-informatics2026.org by 14 September 2026.
Short Paper: Each participant will have 10 minutes for their presentation, followed by 5 minutes of discussion. There are no formatting requirements or templates for the presentation slides. Please send your presentation to info@energy-informatics2026.org by 14 September 2026.
Doctoral Workshop
Submissions of this type should present results from doctoral projects. We solicit:
– Long papers with a maximum of 10 pages (references included)
– Short papers with a maximum of 6 pages (references included)
Doctoral workshop candidates have the opportunity to present their PhD workshop submission as a poster during the poster session. The poster should be displayed in A0 (portrait layout) format. Please print your poster and bring it to the conference yourself.
Posters
The extended abstract should be maximum 3 pages long (including all figures and references). The title of the extended abstracts should be prefixed with „Poster Abstract“: Please use this template, which has been modified from the acmtog template, to ensure proper formatting. You can find a submission track for the abstracts at our Energy Informatics 2026 HotCRP submission site.
The accepted posters should be presented in A0 (portrait layout) format. Please print your poster and bring it to the conference yourself.

The final publication for accepted posters will consist of the required 2(-3)-page poster abstract. This abstract will be included in the ACM Energy Informatics Review (EIR). Poster abstracts will not be included in the ACM Digital Library.
