We call for high-quality, original papers that focus on the design, implementation, operation, and management of smart energy systems. This includes integrating intermittent renewable energy sources, enhancing energy efficiency through ICT, exploring market strategies and mechanisms for ICT-enabled energy systems, and examining decentralized, data-driven decision-making processes. Contributions can be theoretical or practical, addressing system design, implementation, or experimental studies.
Publication Outlet
Submitted papers will be reviewed in a double-blind process. Accepted and presented papers will be published Open Access and free of charge in the ACM SIGEnergy Energy Informatics Review (https://energy.acm.org/eir/). The conference language is English, and papers must be written in English.
Submission Types
We support the submission of two paper types:
Full Research Papers
- Long manuscripts addressing novel ideas, theoretical issues, technology, methodology, and applications
- Ideally, submissions should not exceed 12 pages of content with an additional 2 pages for references. While a maximum of 18 pages of content is permitted, as originally stated, we strongly advise authors to avoid utilizing the full page allowance unless absolutely essential for the comprehensiveness and integrity of the research
Short Papers
- Short manuscripts presenting practical ideas, real cases, and practical achievements
- Maximum of 6 pages of content plus one additional page for references
Template
The required template is the ACM Primary Article Template (can be found here: acmtog) in a 2-column-layout. An overleaf template is also available.
Where to submit
Research paper submissions should be made as PDF files (with all fonts embedded) to the Energy Informatics 2026 HotCRP submission site.
